September 2, 2007
Been a long time since a news update, but it's time to post an update since we're undergoing some serious changes.
First: after a hectic year of work and getting married, we're sorry to say that Phil (a.k.a.: Brittany) has decided to take a break from LTS and give normal life a try. Phil will sorely be missed, but we hope that he'll jump up on stage with us occasionally to don the blonde wig and channel his alter ego.
Second: LTS had a good run at Sherlock's Pub in Clear Lake, playing a few gigs in 2007, but when the management realized we were too goddam good for them, we decided to skip out on our remaining gigs and redefine our structure with the loss of Phil. We're looking forward to rocking out for y'all again real soon!

LTS has been so busy since the last news posting that we've pretty much moved all of our web posts, schedule, song catalog, etc. to MySpace.com. We even have some "demo" songs and live video clips posted there. And for all of you who've been hangin with us there, thanks for all your support!

In case you've been under a rock lately, LTS has been rocking SE Texas all year
and proving that we are the hottest new cover band in Houston. Who else is
going to get you rockin' with songs by awesome bands like System Of A Down,
Seether, Alice In Chains, and Velvet Revolver... THEN get your booty shaking on
the dance floor with kick-ass tunes by Sir Mix-a-Lot, Nine Inch Nails, Orgy, and
Brittany Spears... AND THEN totally blow you away with songs by Metallica, Rush,
and Tool? Who? NOBODY!!
We have two more shows lined up at
Ronnie's Ice House through July,
but we'll keep you up to date on other shows as we get them lined up.
April 9, 2006 LTS had a busy month of March, with two shows at
Ronnie's Ice House. Thanks to
everyone for coming out to see us and also buying koozies. Income from
koozie sales will go to fund future LTS swag to give out or sell to you, our
legions of loyal fans! We've got a couple more busy months coming up, so
keep checking the schedule to find out when & where to catch us playing. Stay tuned for May show dates!
March 3, 2006 The new LTS swag is here! Check out these dope-azz
koozies from CustomCoolies.com.
We'll be handing them out to a few lucky LTS fans at our gigs, so ya better show
up and shake yer bootie!
February 15, 2006 The show this past Saturday at Whisky's was a blast!
Thanks to Cover and Diderich for helping with sound, to Ashley for the great
pics (check them out on our pics page), and to all of our friends who could
make it out there to support us. We hope to see you at Ronnie's Icehouse
in March!

We got two more demo recordings finished and up on our MySpace page:
Aerials (SOAD), and Would? (Alice In Chains). Check 'em out and keep an
eye out for upcoming shows in the Houston/Galveston area.

Well, to wrap up the year: Scott's surgery went well and he's working on getting the ol' arm back up to speed.
Phil returned from Japan with new ninja skilz. LTS has another site at myspace.com.
And we're all working hard to get ready to jam for y'all in the new year. So stick around and we'll be rockin' Clear Lake before you know it!

Barnstock 2005 was a blast this year, as we played in a primetime spot on the
main stage for the first time. The crowd was super and the
support for LTS unprecedented. Probably our best show yet. The LTS sound system was used for the main stage, so it got quite a
workout with all the bands, as did Matt who ran the sound (thanks again...). The Dead Rock Star contest was a huge success with DC3’s own Jeremy Rea
taking home the first (and only) prize (a lava lamp) by correctly guessing all 5
dead rock stars. For the record, we were dressed as Kurt
Cobain (Matt), Dimebag Darrell (Ben), Jimi Hendrix (Phil), Cliff Burton (Scott),
and John Bonham (Ron). As usual, we'll have pictures posted
“soon”

The Pants Party was a blockbuster. We had our new soundsystem out there
rocking the WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD!! Even had the cops pay us a visit.
We'll have pictures posted soon. Spastic Hippos 2000 also put on a raging
show, complete with props, light-show, and lots of girls dancing and singing
on-stage. Time to start gearing up for Barnstock 2k5!

Last night we successfully tested the new PA system. Since it was in the house, we didn't turn it up very loud, but we know it will put out some thump! If you come out to one of our upcoming shows, you may get to hear it yourself.

LTS has new toys!!
We just bought some of the final PA gear we need to be ready to rock your socks off. Take a look at the band schedule page to see what our upcoming shows are going to be.

Ok, it only took a month, but I finally got some pics posted... there's also the link to the Yuri's Night page with all of the pics from the celebration, in case you get tired of looking at us, HAHA!!

Yuri's Night Houston was a resounding success. There's no pictures posted up here yet, but come back and check again because there should be soon. We had a total blast and it was great seeing all of you out there in the audience partying and gettin' rowdy, and all the other bands out there as well. Juan Manuel opened the festivities with his smooth guitar melodies... man, can that guy tear up the fret-board!... in a "jazz" sense anyway. Then the Art Officials started rocking the joint with a lot of fun songs. After them was Death Carpet Trio (DC3), getting all wacky with their crazy antics... all I have to say is "Stick'em!"
Then of course we totally blew away the audience with our rip-roaring rock n' roll repertoire, hehehe. Chad played our first set and said "good bye" to being an LTS member by singing A Thing Called Love by The Darkness to close out the first set. He will always be an honorary member though and maybe he'll come jam with us again when he comes to visit... assuming he actually moves to Chicago like he keeps saying he going to do!
Amazingly, we performed an encore at the end of the first set... we were not planning on playing any Rush songs, but y'all started screaming for it, so we decided at the last minute to finish up the set with The Trees. Whew! It was a good thing we practiced it.
Then the second set rocked even stronger with some of our heavier songs. Phil joined us at this point and did a great job shredding on guitar. We hope those of you who made it out to see us enjoyed the show, including the other bands, got lots of vodka, and made it home just fine. And for those of you who couldn't make it, well screw you!!... no, we hope we'll see you at our next show.
March 25, 2005
LTS reluctantly awaits Chad's departure, welcomes Phil Strawser to the ranks.
After Chad announced his engagement, he dropped the bomb on us that he's going to be leaving us to be with his fiancé in a far off land... dude, what can she offer you that the groupies can't?? Just kidding!!! Beth's a kick-ass chica :)
We are going to miss Chad terribly, BUT he's not leaving us yet.. he's still going to jam with us at Yuri's Night (see news below) and this will also be the first time Phil Strawser will be performing with us. Phil is our newest addition to the LTS roster and is going to be taking over for Chad eventually. We welcome him and hope you, our fans, will too.
February 24, 2005
Get ready to party y'all!
LTS is going to be playing the Yuri's Night Houston celebration at the Outpost Tavern in Clear Lake on April 12th. Scott is playing his bass again, so we're back to ripping our regular jams and we're gonna do an all-out ass-kicking hour of our favorite setlist songs for this shindig. Go to the Yuri's Night page to get all the info. We're getting geared up to jam and celebrate the first manned space flight ever and the very first Space Shuttle launch.
Also gotta give Sir Chadwick congrats on his recent engagement to his gal, Beth... you rock, Chad!!

The show at Pete's Barn this Saturday was great. We had a blast playing and helping raise money for charity. There were a lot of interesting bands there, including some jr. high punk-rockers, some Celtic folk musicians, blues rockers, and us. We played about a 30-minute set with one encore, mostly acoustic. Our guest singer, Jessica Badger, helped sing the duet "Broken" by Seether (featuring Amy Lee), which totally rocked! Check out the pics on the Images page.

The major news as of today is that we are planning to play the Tsunami Relief concert at Pete's Barn, January 22, sponsored by Danny D's Music. This is a charitable event with proceeds going towards helping the victims of the tsunami disaster. There will be upwards of 20 Clear Lake bands performing 30 minute sets each, so there will be a plethora of musical talents and styles to witness.
The other bit of news is that our bassist has had an injury preventing him from playing for the time being, but being the rockers we are, we've decided to perform at the Tsunami Relief concert anyway. And we're getting around the lack of a bassist by doing an all-acoustic-guitar set, which will be a first for us. It should be awesome though!
Pete's Barn is located at 2702 Calder Road, League City. The concert will run from 2:00 - 10:00 pm. It's B.Y.O.B. and the fee (which goes to charity) is $10, so bring a cooler of your favorite beverages and a 10-spot for the tsunami victims. Click here for a map.
So remember:
Pete's Barn
Jan. 22nd, 2-10pm
BYOB and $10 donation.
Hope to see you there.. And bring lots of people!
